1. Acceptance

By creating an account or installing the Job Application Tracker Chrome extension, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of the Service

Job Application Tracker provides a Chrome extension and web dashboard that help you organize and monitor job applications. The extension reads your Gmail inbox (read-only) to detect job-related emails and stores structured application data on our servers.

3. Accounts

  • You must provide a valid email address and a password of at least 6 characters.
  • You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure.
  • One account per person; automated or bulk registrations are not permitted.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
  • Attempt to access other users' data.
  • Reverse-engineer, scrape, or overload the Service.
  • Automate interactions beyond what the extension itself provides.

5. Gmail data

By connecting Gmail, you authorize the extension to read email metadata and bodies for the sole purpose of detecting job-application emails. All parsing happens locally in your browser; only structured fields (company, role, date, status) are sent to our backend. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

6. Availability & changes

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time without prior notice. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of material changes.

7. Data ownership

You retain ownership of all data you provide to the Service. We claim no intellectual-property rights over your application data. You may export or delete your data at any time.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to missed job applications or data loss.

9. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
